Medicine 2.0
The medicine 2.0 conference is actually held in Toronto. Unfortunately I cannot be there. At the same time, our project is presented at a podcast conference in a much smaller city in Germany - Osnabrück, by my colleague Joachim Plener. I cannot be there either. My children should not miss me and a lot of work at the ward and my colleagues wondering about me traveling all the time.

iphone an medical education
There are several medical applications which can be used on the Iphone named on the effective MD website. I was wondering if anybody developed already any applications which can turn mobile phones into mobile medical education devices. One interesting application is pediaphone which helps you to translate Wikipedia article from different languages into MP3-Files and subsequently sends them to your cellphone. Another very good site although on German is Mobile education center of excellence based on a workshop held in 2006 organized by the Fernuniversität Hagen.

Political comittment of medical students
I found this site through reading in one of the rare medical educational blogs. I was wondering whether there are other student communities as that one in Berlin. A very active community of students called “Fachschaftsinitiative” who are organizing the hidden curriculum of the Charité and also taking part in the curricular development.

New collaborative platform for the scientific community
As young medical educators should also by young medical collaborators, I would like to know how you collaborate especially on this young field of medical education, where classic career tracks as they exist in molecular or other scientific fields do not exist. The scholarz platform established for collabarotion between nine German Elite-Universitäten seems to become a success as more and more scientist are using it to collaborate and store thier information.

Did you know about the Microsft health blog?
